Your Role

As an Estimator / Calculator, you play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive quotations for ship repair projects. You work closely with technical, commercial and operational colleagues and act as a crucial link between customer requirements and internal execution.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyse ship repair specifications and customer requests

• Prepare complete and detailed quotations in Excel

• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors

• Estimate required man-hours, materials and resources

• Communicate with customers to clarify technical or commercial details

• Send approved quotations and follow up where needed

• Answer customer questions and update quotation files accordingly

• Cooperate closely with colleagues from calculation, commerce and technology

Your Profile

• Strong technical English skills (spoken and written)

• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

• Experience in a ship repair or maritime environment

• Good understanding of ships and ship systems

• Able to work independently while also being a team player

• Motivated, eager to learn and flexible (no strict nine-to-five mentality)

• Marine Engineer degree or equivalent relevant experience
